Berry-Mint Kefir Smoothies

Kefir is similar to yogurt, full of gut-friendly probiotics. But it has fewer carbs and a more drinkable consistency–perfect for smoothies.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup low-fat plain kefir (see Tip)
  • 1 cup fresh mixed berries
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • 1-2 tablespoons fresh mint
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Instructions:

  1. Combine kefir, berries, juice, mint to taste and honey in a blender. Process until smooth.
  2. (The smoothies will keep in the refrigerator for up to 1 day or in the freezer for up to 3 months.)

Tip: Kefir is a drinkable yogurt found in the dairy section of most supermarkets
