Berry-Mint Kefir Smoothies
Kefir is similar to yogurt, full of gut-friendly probiotics. But it has fewer carbs and a more drinkable consistency–perfect for smoothies.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup low-fat plain kefir (see Tip)
- 1 cup fresh mixed berries
- ¼ cup orange juice
- 1-2 tablespoons fresh mint
- 1 tablespoon honey
Instructions:
- Combine kefir, berries, juice, mint to taste and honey in a blender. Process until smooth.
- (The smoothies will keep in the refrigerator for up to 1 day or in the freezer for up to 3 months.)
Tip: Kefir is a drinkable yogurt found in the dairy section of most supermarkets
