White Holiday Margarita
Sip a bit of the tropics this holiday season! This White Holiday Margarita has the flavors of the islands – coconut, lime, rum. It’s creamy and refreshing. It also packs a punch with three types of alcohol.
Here in Florida, we decorate palm trees and Santa has a surfboard. With the weather still balmy and the beach beckoning, tropical cocktails work all year round and a white holiday margarita is one of my favorites. It’s sweet, creamy, and fruity. I love the flavors of the coconut and the rum.
Ingredients:
- 1 ¼ cups silver tequila
- 1 cup Grand Marnier
- 1 cup fresh lime juice
- ¼ cup orange juice
- ½ cup white cranberry juice
- 1 cup canned coconut milk
- ¼ cup coconut cream (I used Coco Lopez)
- ¾ cup coconut rum
- ½ cup simple syrup
- the rim of the glass
Instructions:
- In a large pitcher, mix all the ingredients except the sanding sugar.
- Add ice to a cocktail shaker and pour in a portion of the margarita mixture.
- Shake until the outside of the cocktail shaker is icy cold.
- To serve, dip the rim of a margarita glass into lime juice.
- Pour some red sanding sugar onto a shallow plate.
- Dip the rim of the glass into the sugar to coat evenly.
- Allow the rim to dry before straining the margarita into the glass.
- Enjoy.
